Charles MARTIN 
Charles was born on January 21st, 1820 in Marylebone, London and his baptism took place on March 3rd, 1820 in St. Mary Church, Marylebone Rd. Marylebone, London oad. Charles' father was John MARTIN and his mother was Susan GARRETT. His paternal grandparents were Fenwick MARTIN and Izabel/Isabel THOMPSON. He had four brothers and three sisters, named William, John, Alfred, Leopold Charles, Isabella Mary, Zenobia and Jessie. He was the second youngest of the eight children. He died at the age of 85 in 1905 in London.General Notes
Charles lived in New York, USA for some time, certainly in 1856when his only son Thomas C. Hunt Martin was born. He painted anumber of portraits there.
